The styles of clips (pictured below) for installing any type of glass inserts are definitely not recommended. They will be seen from the outside of your cabinet doors when viewed at an angle. As well, they will often loosen up in time with the constant opening and closing of your doors. They are an expensive, yet very limited solution.
